Agilitude says it has signed up as the first, and only, local partner for Informatica Cloud, in a bid to address a number of the common concerns with Salesforce implementations.

Agilitude, which launched in May, was founded by IT veterans, including former South African Revenue Service CIO Ken Jarvis and former MiX Telematics Africa CIO Quinton Pienaar. The company aims to become the largest and most skilled provider of Salesforce and related services and expertise in Africa, says Pienaar, who is its CEO.

Pienaar says the company, which has about 10 staff, has seen a lot of interest and activity since launch. "We are successfully engaged in four projects at the moment, and are in negotiations with others."

Agilitude seeks to offer a full range of customer relationship management, mobile and Web development services based on the Salesforce platform, says Pienaar. He explains that Agilitude focuses on the front-office aspect of businesses and that the partnership enhances its offerings and provides it with more options when running enterprise projects.

Pienaar says the Informatica Cloud partnership gives it additional options to address a number of the common concerns with a Salesforce implementation. Agilitude is investigating one or two more partnerships that will allow it to complete its product offering and offer total solutions to its potential customer base, he adds.

Agilitude's initial aim is to establish itself locally and then start expanding into key African countries, says Pienaar. The concept for the company started when Pienaar was CIO for MiX Telematics Africa and met Jarvis and mentioned the possibility of starting a Salesforce partner locally.
