Blue Pencil Mobility - converging the mobile revolution

Blue Pencil Mobility was established this year as a joint venture between Blue Pencil Consulting and Rapidtrade, to embrace the boom of the global mobile revolution. With the growth of mobile device sales surpassing laptops and workstations, it was clear that providing mobile solutions would become the norm. Blue Pencil, which holds a lengthy history in SAP, quickly became the first SAP OEM partner in Africa. Rapidtrade too has a lengthy establishment in providing mobility solutions.

With the wealth of knowledge and experience, Blue Pencil Mobility provides Mobile Sales and Sales Management apps for various types of sales environments, as well as a software app, VerifyIT, to enhance fixed asset management.

Blue Pencil Mobility offers apps in the following areas:

1. Mobile Sales

The Mobile Sales app solution is provided using Rapidtrade software, which is a light CRM system that comes with an elegant and easy-to-use front-end. This app allows companies to track their sales force activities and KPIs. Being suited to both distributors and manufacturers, this smart and convenient software allows your sales team to track their sales activity there and then, when visiting clients. Further to this, sales reps are able to use this software, which integrates seamlessly into a company's accounting package, to place client orders through a smart device when visiting their clients. This in turn reduces the need to manually capture orders.

2. Sales Management

Through the Sales Management solution tool, companies benefit by increasing their sales force effectiveness. The Sales Management tool works in offline mode to allow your sales people the opportunity to create their customer sales orders or fill in call reports in an offline environment.

The Sales Management software makes it easy for the sales people to set up their sales activities and for their manager to approve. Colour-coded managerial reports are generated in real-time, which can be seen on an iPad or tablet device. Manager reporting is further enhanced through a monthly summary of all sales people, which integrates to Google Maps. Managers are able to comment on the sales reps customer visits, after which the sales person is notified via e-mail. Customer issues may in turn be resolved quickly and both the manager and sales rep can monitor the progress of the issue.

3. Asset verification

By combining the well-tested procedures and standards within the VerifyIT app, companies running SAP, Syspro, Sage and Microsoft ERP solutions can reduce the time and effort required to verify assets. In modern enterprise, the status and value of an organisation's fixed assets and the reporting thereof are crucial elements in an organisation's annual financial reports. This is done through users being assigned to zones, so that each person becomes responsible to verify a certain number of assets. The VerifyIT solution uses SAP's Sybase Unwired Platform to ensure a robust solution that is scalable.
