Mediclinic International selects Orchestra Networks' EBX5 for multi-domain MDM

To facilitate streamlined, consolidated procurement information across its international operations in four countries, Mediclinic International, a global healthcare provider, has selected Orchestra Networks' EBX5 software for its multi-domain master data management (MDM) programme.

Mediclinic delivers world-class patient care across a network of 68 private hospitals and eight clinics, operating more than 9 300 beds in South Africa, Namibia, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates. At present, each of these businesses is responsible for its own procurement. Mediclinic's initial multi-domain MDM project will use EBX5 to facilitate indirect purchasing by matching and consolidating detailed procurement information for each organisation's products. Sourcing supplies from global vendors will enable Mediclinic to create economies of scale and reduce costs.

Mediclinic's initial focus will be on product data, but it plans to create a comprehensive data management programme that will span the entire organisation.
