The African-leg of the Oracle PartnerNetwork Day EMEA regional roadshow is to be hosted by Oracle SA on 31 August at the Sandton Convention Centre.

"It will be the biggest single event we have ever held on African shores and we expect to attract more than 500 delegates who will hear from 15 senior Oracle executives how they can benefit by working with us," says Deon Els, country director, alliances and channels at Oracle SA.

The executives include former Durbanite Bronwyn Hastings, worldwide alliances and channels VP, and Stein Surlien, EMEA region alliances and channels VP.

"The event is aimed at the entire partner community in SA, both Oracle and non-Oracle, so its relevance is very broad," says Els. "Anyone can find out how Oracle can assist in growing their business."

Els says with the increased focus on providing software to smaller businesses, Oracle is looking at recruiting new partners and informing delegates about its strategies and future direction, with tracks on sales, marketing and technical development.

The Oracle PartnerNetwork is a global business network of more than 13 000 companies that develop enterprise software solutions based on Oracle software.
