Adrian van der Merwe

Adrian van der Merwe is founder and MD of 8th Man Consulting. He is an expert in enterprise performance management systems and has six years' experience in the accounting and finance industry, and over seven years of consulting experience. Prior to 8th Man Consulting, he had various roles from lead design on project initiations, to project management as an engagement manager for Paragon Consulting in the UK. He has led and managed both the technical and process design phases, in addition to development of several group reporting systems at a number of Danish and FTSE-100 companies. Van der Merwe worked as a consultant with the World Class Finance team for Atos Origin (formerly KPMG Consulting) in London. During his time at Atos Origin, he was the technical lead for the planning, development and implementation of business analysis, management reporting and planning solutions, with particular emphasis on Hyperion Essbase and Comshare MPC. He was educated in SA at the University of the Witwatersrand, where he gained a Bachelor of Commerce in financial accounting and accounting information systems.
