Napster adds six new colleges

Napster, a division of Roxio, said yesterday it reached agreements with six additional colleges to provide access to the online music service.

The participating colleges include Cornell University, George Washington University, Middlebury College in Vermont, University of Miami, University of Southern California and Wright State University (Ohio).

Penn State University and University of Rochester were the first to join Napster`s university programme this past winter.

Napster said Penn State will expand the offering this fall so students at all 23 campuses can participate.
