Progress boosts visibility, connectivity with Responsive Process Management Suite

[Johannesburg, 13 December 2011] - Progress Software, a leading software provider that enables enterprises to be operationally responsive, has further enhanced its Progress Responsive Process Management (RPM) suite.

The new Progress RPM suite comprises Progress Control Tower, an easy-to-use, browser-based, interactive interface that can now be accessed on Apple iPad anywhere with Internet connectivity. With the enhanced functionality, business users have the ability to not only monitor, manage and analyse, but also to act on information stored across a variety of data sources, including IBM mainframe CICS, Tibco, Oracle, FuseSource and SAP environments, at any time and in any place.

Maureen Fleming, Programme VP, Business Process and Middleware, IDC Corporation, says: “Enterprise expectations of process improvement have jumped from thinking about a single process or single application to a need to orchestrate in real-time across internal environments and out to partner and customer systems. That means process improvement is increasingly about orchestration, real-time visibility and analysis across disparate BPM suites and packaged applications. And mobility is a key element of this strategy. Companies cannot afford delays because employees are out of touch with the decisions they need to make."
