Datacentrix' first ever Business Showcase event, which focused on taking local organisations on a journey through the fourth stage of the industrial revolution - the digital age - was a resounding success, with more than 1 550 delegates arriving to attend the one-day event that took place at Montecasino in Johannesburg on Thursday, 10 March.
The overriding theme of the Business Showcase conference stream, which kicked off with keynote addresses from consulting economist, Cees Bruggemans and Lorenzo Gonzales, HP EMEA strategist and chief technologist, was that technology is reshaping all sectors on a global level and organisations that are not more tech-aware will quickly become irrelevant.
"In this digital age, our engagement with technology has changed the very way we all communicate and collaborate," explained Datacentrix CEO, Ahmed Mahomed during the event's plenary session. "It is critical that businesses today embrace technology to become more efficient, effective and competitive as they move forward towards 2020.

Datacentrix was also presented with its "Platinum Plaque" for 2016 by HP Enterprise MD for South Africa, Pieter Bensch, confirming that the high performing and secure ICT solution provider has been one of HP's largest partners for over a decade and that it has retained its status as one of only a handful of local HP Platinum Partners.
