Morvest's Intergraph again ranked number one

Johannesburg, 26 Oct 2011

Intergraph, a leading global provider of engineering and geospatial software, was recently ranked as the world's number one software provider for process engineering tools (PET).

In South Africa, Intergraph operates as Intergraph Systems South Africa, a wholly owned subsidiary of JSE-listed Morvest Business Group, a leading provider of business support services (including professional services and outsourcing solutions) and ICT solutions.

The number one ranking was issued by research and advisory firm ARC Advisory Group, and published in “Process Engineering Tools (PET) Market Analysis and Forecast through 2015”.

In addition to ranking Intergraph as the overall global leader, ARC also placed Intergraph first in a number of individual categories, including as the number one provider of engineering design tools and engineering design 3D software and as the top supplier across industries. Intergraph is also ranked number one geographically in all three of its regions: North and Latin America, Europe, Middle East, India, Africa and Asia-Pacific.

This ranking underpins Morvest's recent expansion of its service offering in Africa with the introduction of Intergraph to the Nigerian market. The take-up by the energy sector of Intergraph's engineering enterprise software is a notable milestone for the group. Morvest has had a presence in Nigeria for the last six years. In addition, Intergraph is also the exclusive Africa PPM partner, servicing substantial clients such as Shell and Eskom.

Morvest CEO Mohammed Varachia comments: “We are extremely proud that Intergraph has achieved such commendable international recognition, further supporting our existing renown in providing PET solutions across Africa.”

Morvest's other global business partners include Oracle and Microsoft.
