Heathrow Terminal 5 live with Progress's Sonic

Heathrow's Terminal 5 has announced it has deployed and gone operational with Progress Software's Sonic ESB (enterprise service bus).The solution software enables BAA to provide airport integration capabilities using Sonic ESB. This includes the creation of re-usable integration services for new T5 systems and of specialist adaptors for the integration of existing key operational BAA systems, such as the Airport Operational Database Integration.Martin Thomas, integration architect at BAA IT, comments: “Our challenge was to find a solution that enabled the rapid integration of operational BAA systems and provides a platform for future use.”
