Red Man Platforms

Red Man Platforms offers services on the IBM WebSphere suite including Portal. The WebSphere suite offers:

This business unit is a Sage Line 500 (Enterprise Resource Planning - ERP) and Flowcentric (Business Process Management – BPM) Value Added Reseller. Services include Business Consulting, Solution Design, Project Management, Testing and QA, System Implementation, Training, Software Development for Add-ons and System Integration. Our consulting team is a blend of qualified professionals in various fields.

We have been designing and implementing business-enabling solutions using Sage Line 500 since 1994 while our Flowcentric track record goes back to 2004 with implementations ranging from stand-alone systems to solutions integrated into various ERP’s. Our specific speciality is the designing and implementation of business-enabling solutions that work the first time. Our strict adherence to Project Management and Testing enables us to deliver fully implemented solutions on time and on budget.

Red Man Software Solutions

Our design methodology uses the Rational Unified Process tailored for Red Man Technologies. The Red Man Technologies’ software solutions team includes arguably the best Rational UML and RUP specialist in South Africa. Our philosophy is to be as productive as possible without writing code. We will use the RSA toolset, together with the Visual Rules Business Rules Management (BRM) engine to generate as much as possible code, using Hibernate, EJB3 the Spring Framework and so on to help where possible. If the code can not be generated, we will look for open-source alternatives that implement the required functionality. If we have to fork and adapt the code – fine! If there is nothing out there to generate what we want or that exists already, we will look to buy. As a LAST resort, we will develop in-house!
