SAP reveals its vision for the future at 2010 Tech Tour

SAP customers, partners and representatives gathered in locations across South Africa last week to share their experiences of SAP solutions and hear about the development of new technologies that respond to the rapidly changing marketplace at the South African leg of SAP's annual Tech Tour.The event highlighted SAP's commitment to investing in new technologies that will see it taking advantage of the evolution of cloud computing and mobile, and outlined its vision for software development driven by feedback and input from customers.Alvin Paules, SAP's Chief Technology Architect, said after the event: “New technologies are being developed at a faster rate and the speed of adoption is quicker than ever. However, after 37 years in the industry, not everything has changed. Our customers still want a combination of speed, flexibility and standardisation, but we are now moving away from big product releases to allow for a landscape of applications that have multiple deployment options.”
