Shoden named Fujitsu's Partner of the Year for Africa

[Johannesburg, 20 December 2011] - For more than a decade, Shoden Data Systems has partnered with Fujitsu to sell high-end SPARC-based technologies to its enterprise customers. During this time, Fujitsu has had an equally long relationship with Oracle, which has seen these two organisations' SPARC development relationship go from strength to strength, following Oracle's acquisition of Sun Microsystems.

Earlier this year, as an extension of their SPARC development relationship, Fujitsu and Oracle inked an expansive new product distribution agreement and a commitment to further joint engineering, marketing and sales promotion efforts. This means that Shoden is now an Oracle Partner as well as a Fujitsu one.

Rui De Oliveira at Shoden says this means that with such close ties to both organisations, it came as no surprise to Shoden when the company recently received the award for best solution innovator for the Fujitsu/Oracle Unix platform.
