New CEO Tertius Vermeulen takes the reins at Trustlink
[Johannesburg, 14 March 2012] -
Financial services industry veteran Tertius Vermeulen has joined the team at Trustlink as CEO as of 1 January 2012. Vermeulen takes the helm in a challenging financial environment to drive Trustlink towards future growth and sustainability.Formerly the Managing Director of Computershare's Custodial Division, he brings a wealth of knowledge and more than three decades' of market experience to the company. With more than 20 years in the banking sector before his 11-year stint at Computershare, both as a COO and MD, along with a B.Com Honours Degree in Strategic Management, Licentiate and Associate Diplomas in Commercial Banking and an Advanced Business Management qualification, Vermeulen is more than qualified to take on the challenges his new position holds.“Trustlink has been a service provider to Computershare since 2002, providing SWIFT Bureau services, so I was no stranger to their organisation. When the opportunity came up for me to join the company, I took it as an opportunity for positive change. I am looking forward to using my knowledge of the SWIFT service environment and my relationships with the SWIFT community, both nationally and overseas, to add value to Trustlink. I believe this, along with my background in services, will stand me in good stead for my future as CEO,” Vermeulen says.
