International mobile computing specialist, Psion Teklogix, recently finalised a partnership with ICT specialist, Andacon.

South African-based Andacon, a 100% black-owned information and communications technology (ICT) organisation, is a Psion Teklogix value-added reseller (VAR) for the following products: handheld and vehicle-mount terminals, network management, printers, RFID, speech/voice, tablets, wireless infrastructure and developer resources.

Andacon`s expert and specialised team is skilled in the fields of ICT solutions, business strategy, project management, business performance improvement and management in both the public and private sector.

The company`s main focus is the provision of a comprehensive and diverse range of ICT solutions to a wide spectrum of market segments including airports, ports and containers, automotive, transportation, cold chain, field services, government, healthcare, RFID, SAP integration, warehousing and distribution as well as customer conference.

The Andacon vision is to be recognised by customers as the leading African ICT solutions organisation. The company is built on a sound framework of human resources and areas of expertise include wireless network design and deployment, project management, warranty and services contracts, repairs and RMAs, technical support and technical education.

Psion Teklogix is an acknowledged specialist in the provision of unique and innovative tailor-made end-to-end solutions in wireless radio network solutions, meeting various local mobile application requirements.

"Since our entry into the South African market five years ago, we have never looked back and have enjoyed exceptional success through good customer relations, lucrative partnerships with other major players, and flexible hardware and reliable software built on years of expertise in Microsoft, SAP and security," says Psion Teklogix Country Manager, Raymond Hoy.

According to Hoy, the Andacon partnership is in line with Psion Teklogix SA`s commitment to the BEE transformation process as well as to the development of SMMEs.

"After careful research into a suitable SMME, we identified Andacon as an ideal partner due to the synergy between our two companies as well as similarity of market sectors," explains Hoy. "This is an SMME with specialised skills that we can develop, add value and penetrate the mobile market as well as contribute to black enterprise development and growth."

Andacon`s collective skills, based on many years of business experience, differentiates the company from other solution-based organisations and complement Psion Teklogix`s comprehensive product range and services.

Hoy says this synergistic partnership will not only lend a competitive-edge to both partners but will also offer customers one-stop service excellence and turnkey solutions.
