IESC collaborates with Microsoft
Funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the International Executive Service Corps (IESC) collaborated with Microsoft in providing the latest software project management methodology training to Lebanon's ICT companies, reports MySolutionInfo.
As part of the capacity-building activities within the IESC AIM-IT programme, the software project management training provides ICT companies with needed professional project management skills.
The latest training and assistance enhances the level of competitiveness inside the local software development companies, and expands companies' potential for reaching regional and international markets and establishing new business linkages.
Agility, Transcar team up
Agility Project Logistics is collaborating with Transcar Projects to win the global shipping contract for two phases of the Pearl Gas to Liquids (GTL) in Ras Laffan, Qatar, according to Earth Times.
The Pearl GTL project, the worlds largest gas-to-liquid project, has been developed by Qatar Petroleum and Shell and will involve over one million freight tons of cargo lined up for its construction.
The joint venture between competitors, with Agility Project Logistics and Transcar both devoting 18 months of planning, resulted in this successful win. Danny Rushbrooke, MD Europe for Agility Project Logistics, said they look forward to working hand-in-hand, leveraging their joint capabilities to ensure the successful completion of this massive project.
