Auto marketing must go digital

Mynardt Oosthuizen, operations director at Eliance, suggests companies in the automotive industry must turn their marketing attention to digital efforts.

Eliance provides business solutions targeting the automotive sector, Web site development and management, digital and Internet marketing, call centre services, data management services, CRM software, and lead management software.

"The advent of technology, an increasing client base and requirements, combined with a volatile marketplace, calls for the placement of digital marketing communication solutions across the board.

"This will improve the streamlining of interaction with customers, information storage and retrieval, and have positive consequences for inter-departmental communication," he says.

Digital marketing is a key focus in this industry and must work seamlessly with customer service.

Oosthuizen believes traders that use digital systems for customer service have an advantage over competitors. He says companies need a fully automated digital marketing strategy, supported by IT systems and communications infrastructure.
