OpenWave releases mobile BI service

Openwave Systems has made available its Mobile Analytics service, which combines professional services with the analytics and reporting capabilities of its Mobile Analytics solution, reports News.com.

The service works in conjunction with Openwave's Integra transparent proxy, providing carriers with the ability to monitor, manage and monetise all mobile Internet traffic.

In addition, the Mobile Analytics service helps carriers understand how social networking traffic impacts SMS revenue, which is monetising smartphone traffic, including how it is being done, and how data plans are impacting per subscriber traffic rates.

Fortsum unveils BI for SMEs

Fortsum Business Solutions released its Acomba BI module, which is designed to meet the needs of SMEs, reports Newswire.

Its BI solution transforms raw data into useful information that supports and optimises the decision-making process for SMEs.

"After years of investment in developing a platform to support business processes and creating an integrated operational structure, the SME can now ensure optimal yield on investment and reap all the benefits of an affordable tool for strategic and tactical decision-making,” says Fortsum COO, Denis Carrier.

Kognitio completes analytics solution

Kognitio has completed its development of a version of its WX2 analytical Relational Database Management System that runs on Sun Microsystems' Solaris 10 operating system, says EarthTimes.

"Companies can now gain the benefits of a complete system that blends the performance of WX2, and the software needed to rapidly analyse multiple terabytes of information, running on Sun blades and rack-mounted servers," said Jim McHugh, VP of Solaris marketing, Sun Microsystems.

The move follows Kognitio's goal to become a leading database vendor for high-scale business analytics, less than a year after the company entered the North American market.
