IBM expands Wesphere Portal

IBM has expaned its WebSphere Portal software portfolio with the availability of two additional business-ready packages that can be easily added to a customer`s portal to drive online training projects and automate key business processes, reports Reuters.

These two new accelerators provide training, development and education projects through an IBM Lotus Sametime Web conference.

It will also make it easier for customers to automate core business processes with easy entry and integration of data and electronic forms across numerous systems.

Metastorm buys Spotlight Data

Metastorm has purchased Spotlight Data, a process data collection software company. Terms were not disclosed, reports WashingtonTechnology.

The acquisition will enable Metastorm to offer customers a process discovery tool designed to collect data more quickly and accurately, the Baltimore-based company said.

It also will enable customers to process metrics that they can use to drive business process modelling, improvement and optimisation.

SunTrust selects SmartBPM suite

SunTrust Banks has selected Pegasystems SmartBPM platform with Build for Change technology and Banking Industry Framework for use in several mission-critical applications, reports PR-Inside.

The company will apply Pegasystems` BPM capabilities to help prevent money laundering, support fraud investigations, and manage compliance with the Bank Security Act, USA Patriot Act and other regulations.

SunTrust will also use the Pegasystems solution to enhance the new account opening for its customers, establishing new business and enhancing the foundation for outstanding customer relationship management.
