Mark Shuttleworth is among several international Linux professionals who will speak at the LinuxWorld conference in May.

The 15th LinuxWorld conference will take place in conjunction with the annual Futurex conference from 17 to 20 May at the Sandton Convention Centre.

Shuttleworth, a pioneer of open source initiatives like Go Open Source and Ubuntu Linux, will be joined by Jon Hall, director of Linux International, and Werner Knoblich, director of Northern Europe at Red Hat.

Wim Coekaerts, principal member of technical staff, Corporate Architecture - Development at Oracle, wraps up the list of speakers.

"The conference will focus on world trends and issues around open source," says Aldean Prior, director of Futurex and LinuxWorld. "It is a worldwide event that is held to further educate people on the use of Linux and open source."

LinuxWorld, which debuted in 1999, is an event series for open source professionals and those who are interested in Linux and open source technologies.
