UCS Software, a leading developer of award-winning customised and packaged retail software, was officially recognised as a Gold Certified partner of Microsoft last month for its commitment to Microsoft and proven track record in developing distinctive and dependable software products.
The Gold Certified partner represents the highest level of aptitude and capability within Microsoft technologies.
It lets customers identify businesses that have proven their expertise and dedication in specialised areas when delivering Microsoft technologies.
Last year, Microsoft introduced a demanding set of conditions that prospective partners would have to fulfil in order to receive their Gold certifications, including enhanced certification and a portfolio of real-world customer references, identifying them as the most skilled partners in specific solution areas.
Microsoft awards points to its partners in various areas of the partner programme. In order to achieve Gold certification, partners need to earn a minimum of 120 points.
"We achieved more than the minimum amount of points required and aim to increase this substantially over time, specifically through the Microsoft Learning Centre Competency certification, which is the next certification we are targeting," says Lucille Livingston, business development manager at UCS Software.
"UCS achieved its certification through two areas of its business; certification of the Microsoft Network Infrastructure competency, and certification of the Microsoft Dynamics competency with Microsoft Dynamics NAV."
Microsoft Dynamics NAV is an integrated business management solution designed to let customers make business decisions with greater confidence. Microsoft will launch the next version, NAV 5.0, next month.
"The Gold certification will allow UCS to continue developing innovative software designed around the Microsoft platform, further enhancing the products we deliver to our customers."
UCS reached the required certification targets through its pool of Microsoft certified engineers, all geared towards making UCS Software the leading supplier of retail solutions. Other areas within the company also contributed to the overall points, which included registering individual Microsoft Certified Professionals examination qualifications with the programme.
