ExactTarget integrates Salesforce CRM

ExactTarget, a provider of on-demand e-mail applications, has unveiled a series of integrated capabilities designed to simplify marketing automation for Salesforce CRM customers, says CBR Online.

According to the company, the new capabilities give marketers the ability to automate their lead nurturing process with a drag-and-drop interface to create dynamic Web pages and lead capture forms.

Marketers can also aggregate data from multiple sources easily and use a point-and-click interface to schedule a sequence of follow-up communication activities.

Labour dept goes IP

The New Zealand Department of Labour (DOL) is to implement a single IP telephony system across all of its contact centre sites within the next three years, reports IT Brief.

The department has four groups that have contact centres spread over five sites. Its contact centres receive about 110 000 calls, 8 000 e-mails and 1 200 faxes every month.

While the DOL is seeking an IP telephony system across its contact centres, it is also considering the deployment of a similar solution across DOL enterprise.

Singer selects Duo Software

Singer, a Sri Lankan electronics and home appliances retailer, has signed up Duo Software to implement the DuoContact contact centre solution, states Daily Mirror.

DuoContact, developed by Duo Software, changes the way a contact centre operates through the adoption of a fully IP-based contact centre solution, eliminating the need for a traditional PABX.

The unified contact centre solution incorporates all functional aspects of a contact centre, including interactive voice response, automatic call distributor, CRM and a predictive dialler.
