Chihaka stands in for Moholi

Johannesburg, 08 Apr 2009

ITWeb incorrectly reported last week that Thami Msimango, Telkom's chief of global operations, would stand in for Nombulelo “Pinky” Moholi, while she completes her term at Nedbank.

Instead, Casper Kondo Chihaka, Telkom's acting chief of operations, will take up her position until the end of April.

Msimango is acting MD of the Telkom's international business unit, as well as CEO of Multi-links, Telkom's telecoms business in Nigeria.

Telkom's South African unit is to be headed by Moholi, Telkom's former marketing head.

Moholi has been with Nedbank for the last few years, dealing with the financial institution's turnaround strategy. She is expected to do the same thing for Telkom SA. She will rejoin Telkom at the beginning of May.
