JSE-listed MICROmega Holdings' subsidiary, Turrito Networks, has signed a partnership deal with supply chain management company Super Group.

Turrito will deliver cloud computing services to JSE-listed Super Group, MICROmega says in a statement to shareholders. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

Turrito provides network and virtualisation services for private and public cloud requirements.

The primary data centre for Super Group went live with Turrito's cloud technology last month, says MICROmega. The internal infrastructure is delivering cloud computing services to Super Group and its customers in South Africa and several international regions.

Turrito MD Brian Timperley says: “Concluding the Super Group agreement was significant for Turrito as it has given us the opportunity to work with a large, respected multinational company in delivering a world-class cloud solution.”

Turrito is working with Super Group to expand the cloud computing enablement across its operating regions. Timperley adds the company is also “engaging with clients across the spectrum of corporate SA, with similar roll-outs scheduled for the near future”.

MICROmega CEO Greg Morris says while the effect on earnings will initially be small, it expects the investment it has made in cloud computing over the past three years to deliver a high return by the fourth quarter of this year.
