Attendees of this year`s Oracle OpenWorld in San Francisco, from 22 to 26 October, will be able to register for a new programme aimed specifically at developers.

The Oracle Develop programme will be designed to help attendees advance their development skills and expand their knowledge at "expert-led, in-depth technical sessions, hands-on labs, and detailed tutorials", the company says.

Oracle says registration is already open for OpenWorld 2006, which is expected to be the largest to date, with an estimated 41 000 participants, including 450 Oracle partners showcasing their products.

This year`s planned keynote line up includes industry players and executives from AMD, CapGemini, Cisco, Dell, HP, Oracle, NetApp and Sun Microsystems, says the company.
