Cell C has extended its commercial fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) offering across the major open access fibre networks, with additional network agreements under way.

"Customers that are in areas covered by Openserve can now join those already covered by Frogfoot, Mitsol and Vumatel, and experience C-Fibre's exceptional pricing and truly uncapped offers," says Cell C CEO Jose Dos Santos.

Cell C has offered C-Fibre on those networks since 2016.

Cell C says it is in discussion with two additional open access network providers and will make announcements regarding these in due course.

It adds that with C-Fibre, customers receive an unlimited offer, with no shaping, throttling or caps.

"Don't let a cap stop you from binge streaming your favourite TV shows. With C-Fibre there will be no interruptions, no need to buy anything extra. Gamers will feel safe in the knowledge they don't have to worry about their accounts being throttled during high-pressure gaming sessions. C-Fibre is a fantastic offer for a wide range of customers looking to pay a single monthly fee without worrying about running out of data," says Dos Santos.

C-Fibre has both symmetrical and asymmetrical offers on all these networks that allow users to select the service they need, at the price that best suits them, says Cell C.

"Customers have reached out to us in areas where we did not have a footprint looking to take advantage of the value that C-Fibre offers. We are pleased to now be able to bring this service to them," says Dos Santos.

All offerings include free installation valued from R1 710, free connection with the value starting from R570, a free WiFi router with LTE failover valued at R1 699, free 1GB of LTE data per month for 12 months valued at R828 and personalised set-up by an experienced service agent.

"We are focused on providing the best possible experience to our customers and our broadband strategy has been developed to ensure customers receive the quality and value they have come to expect from Cell C," says Dos Santos.
