South Korea's LG Electronics expects a sharp improvement in second-quarter earnings.
The company added it was likely to show signs of a turnaround in its plasma screen business within months.
CFO James Jeong told a news conference the plasma display panel business' monthly EBITDA could break even between late in the second quarter and early third quarter.
LG, the world's second-biggest maker of plasma panels, said last week it would halt one of its three domestic plasma panel lines and was reviewing several strategic options for the loss-making business.
