Knovation Solutions, a Pivotal Group company, has expanded its services offering to include cloud enablement as an authorised Google Cloud Platform  partner.

The certification creates synergies with Knovation's established mobile and analytics solutions, particularly its existing competencies and experience within the Google Analytics ecosystem. The locally based expert pan-African services provider is now able to deliver a vertically integrated end-to-end mobile enablement solution for businesses of all sizes.

“The need to operate efficiently and compete effectively in the new digital economy applies to every vertical industry today. As the rising tide of digital disruption sweeps across the global business landscape, pressure is mounting on organisations to digitally transform their operations and embrace a mobile-first operating model to remain relevant,” explains William Hardie, Managing Director of Knovation Solutions.

In response, the business case for migrating systems and data into the cloud to create nimble, agile and future-ready organisations is growing.

With more than 20 years of experience in the corporate IT and technology sector, Knovation Solutions has established itself as a leading mobile security solutions provider with its MobileIron device and platform-agnostic UEM and MTD solutions, which the company supports with additional core competencies.

“Our blended and dedicated team of skilled and experienced advisory, architecture, developer, infrastructure, networking and security expert engineers offer expertise and a range of agnostic mobile-enablement, data analytics and cloud-based services that span the value chain,” elaborates Hardie.

These include cloud transformation consulting, strategy, architecture guidance and advisory services, implementation capabilities for phased or full cloud migrations, and systems integration once in the cloud.

“Enabling digital transformation requires migration to a secure and reliable cloud platform. Through our Google Cloud Platform partnership, we aim to unlock significant capabilities and exploit market opportunities by converging our mobility and data analytics solutions through our new enterprise-grade, cloud-enablement capabilities.”

According to Hardie, cloud-enablement effectively addresses various IT requirements and helps to solve modern business problems at scale.

The Google Cloud Platform provides reliable and highly scalable, secure virtualised infrastructure and data storage in one of the world's most advanced data centre networks, with dedicated hosting in a fully redundant Google data centre.

The fully hosted disaster recovery capabilities and automated backups ensure business continuity and regulatory compliance, while Knovation's Google Cloud Platform MSA and SLA-based offering delivers services against set technical thresholds and business continuity criteria.

The solution also creates opportunities to test and deploy mobile apps and Web solutions into the enterprise or SME environment, and can deliver a range of hosted services on demand via a pay-as-you-use model.

“This helps to drive down IT costs related to systems management and deployment with reduced capex requirements. It can also significantly reduce time to market, enabling businesses to instantly access and deploy the latest technologies to generate new revenue streams, enhance operational performance or drive innovation within the organisation,” continues Hardie.

“Once in the cloud environment, we can leverage the centralised data and systems repository to apply data analytics tools and other industry 4.0 technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). This empowers us to extract insights and business intelligence to provide visibility into key business metrics that can inform strategic decision-making and deliver compelling business value in the digital economy,” he concludes.
