SOA being abandoned?

Anne Thomas Manes received a lot of attention last week after sharing that many of her Burton Group client companies are abandoning their SOA efforts, says IT Business Edge.

This week, Burton Group issued a press release calling for the industry to prove SOA success.

The Burton Group wants to find success stories for a research project on best practices it plans to present in June at its Burton Group Catalyst Conference.

Mega showcases speakers

Mega International, a provider of enterprise architecture and business process analysis solutions, will be a featured solutions provider at the IIR Enterprise Architectures Conference from 7 to 10 April in Orlando, according to Business Wire.

Richard Burk, member of the Mega International Advisory Board and former chief architect for the US government, will be a keynote speaker on "The Future of Enterprise Architecture in Government - Where do we go from here?"

Patrick Cooper, senior enterprise architect, Cox Enterprises, will present "EA Steps: From Start to Success, a Cox Enterprises Case Study", at the conference.

SOA healthcare conference this month

The Service-Oriented Architecture in Healthcare conference will be held from 15 to 17 April in Chicago and is sponsored by the SOA Consortium, says Business Wire.

The workshop intentionally integrates the themes of SOA and health quality, and is targeted primarily to a health-IT savvy audience.

This event is focused on healthcare's challenges and SOA's role in meeting them.
