Join a webinar to explore impact of COVID-19

Centurion Pretoria, South Africa, 09 Jun 2020

With South Africa now more than two months into its countrywide lockdown, the Wits Journal of Clinical Medicine and Wits University Press invite participants to join a webinar that will investigate the important question:

Are we coping with COVID-19 in South Africa and Africa?

This webinar – hosted by a panel of medical experts from around the country – is set to not only examine the impact of COVID-19, but also interrogate the way the pandemic is being managed in South Africa, and Africa as a whole.

Exploring controversies surrounding diagnostic testing; an examination of Ghana’s management of COVID-19; health and safety issues; up-to-date evidence for treatment options; and how we can guide the ongoing pandemic using behavioural science, this webinar is aimed at being succinct yet information-rich, and will end with a Q&A session where the panellists will respond to submitted questions. If you would like to submit a question to the panel, please do send them by e-mail to wjcmcovidwebinar@gmail.com by 10am on Wednesday, 10 June 2020.

Taking place: Thursday, 11 June, from 4pm to 5pm (CAT).

This webinar is free to attend, but registration for a ‘virtual seat’ is compulsory.

The Wits Journal of Clinical Medicine is a peer-reviewed, Open Access scientific research journal published triannually by Wits University Press in Johannesburg.
