Sonke Governance, Risk and Compliance hosts launch event

Johannesburg, 14 Aug 2019

Sonke Governance, Risk and Compliance, a division of Sonke Computer Services Africa (SCSA Group), hosted a key launch GRC event in Johannesburg on 30 July, highlighting increased demand for risk, policy and quality management in business.

The event was aimed at providing delegates with information and guidance to ensure good governance, risk and compliance within their own organisations. It offered the opportunity for attendees to discuss their business challenges and how SCSA, Sonke GRC and Sword GRC technology solutions could assist various South African organisations with technology solutions and processes, to enable them to mitigate the risk of non-compliance using organisational policies, quality management and procedures to support them in their own organisations.

The GRC event took place at the Houghton Hotel and included both interactive sessions as well as various scheduled one-on-ones. Key areas discussed included:

  • Document control management;
  • Quality management;
  • Policy management;
  • Health, safety and environmental management;
  • Non-conformance/CAPA management;
  • Supplier management;
  • Risk management;
  • Equipment management; and
  • Audit management.

If your organisation would like to benefit from technology or expertise in policy and quality management in any of the areas above, or for further information, please e-mail Tracy-lee Fitzgerald: tfitzgerald@scsafrica.com.

Prior to the event, Kennedy Memani, Director of Sonke Governance, Risk and Compliance, commented that we were all responsible for governance, risk and compliance in our businesses and that they looked forward to discussing the challenges faced by every organisation in this space.

Salman Rauf, Sales Executive from Sword GRC, who has worked with Sonke for several years, said he was delighted to be collaborating with Sonke on the launch of this new company primarily focused on GRC in the region. He said it was vitally important for companies today to have a clear, accurate and timely view of quality and policy changes across regulatory and legal prerequisites, for executives and employees alike, whichever vertical sector.

SCSA has partnered with the Sword Group for 15 years, focusing on governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solutions in the African region.
