Ixchange to officially enter new era as FrontRange

By FrontRange
Johannesburg, 15 Jan 2002

Ixchange Technology Holdings Limited, the JSE-listed developer of customer relationship management solutions, officially entered a new era on Monday, 14 January 2002 when it changed its name to FrontRange Limited.

The move, which shareholders unanimously approved in December 2001, means the name under which Ixchange is listed on the JSE Securities Exchange has changed to FrontRange Limited. The share code is now FRO.

The name change comes at the end of a period of strategic realignment that saw the finalisation of Ixchange`s disposal of its Ability division and start-up companies Fraxion and Neuratech.

Following the disposals, the sole remaining holding of Ixchange is its 84% stake in FrontRange Solutions Incorporated (headquartered in Colorado in the US) as well as a residual holding of 25% of Fraxion, the electronic authorisation tool which the company plans to integrate with HEAT, FrontRange`s leading service and support solution.

Managing Director of FrontRange Limited, Dana Buys, says the name change was appropriate, given the company`s decision to focus exclusively on the customer relationship management solutions provided by FrontRange Solutions.

Buys remains Managing Director of the listed holding company, with Christo Nel, Head of the Centre for Leadership Studies at the University of Stellenbosch Business School, in place as non-executive chairman. The company recently announced that it had appointed US software industry veteran Patrick Bultema as CEO and President of FrontRange Solutions Inc, running the global operations from the Colorado headquarters. Bultema was appointed to the board of the listed holding company from 1 December 2001.
