Integr8's growth catches eye of global business masters

Johannesburg, 02 Aug 2010

The rapid growth and sustained success of the Integr8 Group, South Africa's largest privately owned national BEE ICT network integration and infrastructure management specialist, has captured the interest of leading business educators at the UK-based London Business School (www.london.edu).

London Business School is a facilitator of specialised business programmes designed to equip aspiring entrepreneurs across the world with the knowledge they require to succeed in competitive existing and emerging markets. It also offers established business people the opportunity to expand their knowledge, gain insight and further entrench their status in the markets in which they operate.

The school offers full-time and executive MBA programmes and is ranked by the Financial Times as number one in the world for its full-time MBA programme.

It graduates over 1 800 degree students every year from more than 130 countries and its Executive Education team serves over 7 400 executives on its programmes each year.

It has been the school of choice for a number of business leaders, including Radhika Chadwick, Director, EDS; Jesse McDougall, Assistant Portfolio Manager, Barclays Capital; Dr Zubair Hussain, Head of Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance and Compliance for UK and Ireland, Pfizer.

Faculty at London Business School have an established connection with management at Integr8. This channel has been used to draft and introduce a case study based on the credentials and strength of Integr8 as a growth company within emerging markets.

It also serves as a platform through which international executive MBA students from London Business School visit the company and are presented with the opportunity to gain insight into critical areas of operation and daily service delivery.

Most recently, the school sent over a delegation of MBA students under the directorship of London Business School Term Assistant Professor in Organisational Behaviour, Stefan Thau, to observe members of staff at the company and witness its Nerve Centre in operation.

“We have identified Integr8 as a powerful example of a business that has progressed significantly and is extremely mindful about how to sustain this level of growth within emerging markets,” explains Professor Thau. “The students we have brought over continue to gain specialist knowledge of the modern business environment and their experience with Integr8 has been detailed and valuable. We look forward to assimilating this information and the results of our engagement into the classroom.”

Robert Sussman, joint CEO, Integr8, says the company is very proud of its association with the London Business School and believes the relationship is one of mutual benefit.

“To have one of the top business-centred education institutions in the world recognise our standing in the market is in itself a major accomplishment. But, to have educators and experienced entrepreneurs use research on the company as part of their curriculum is truly a world-class achievement. It is our hope that we can continue to host visitors from this prestigious institution and continue to strengthen and add value to the relationship going forward,” says Sussman.
