Final category winners and runners up were singled out following a tightly contested BCX Digital Warriors Challenger, which took place in Midrand on 28 and 29 October 2019. Here the top three shortlisted stand-out businesses that significantly contributed to the two innovation areas under review by the judging panel, were put through their paces, fighting it out for first, second and third place in their respective categories.
The two innovation areas under review during the awards process consisted of:
- Incremental innovation, which refers to those who focus on continually improving existing products or services by reducing costs and improving or adding additional features in a bid to increase the product’s level of competition, utilising existing technology to increase value to the customer within the existing market through enhancements or simplifications; and
- Disruptive innovation, which refers to those creating a new market for a new branch of customers. It makes use of new technologies and new or existing business models.
Following an exciting and inspiring start to our annual BCX Innovation Awards, the 2020 BCX Digital Innovation Awards will open for entries in May 2020. We hope to see you there!
