Fulcrum Business Solutions announces EPM team expansion

Johannesburg, 18 Jan 2006

Fulcrum Business Solutions, Microsoft enterprise project management solutions provider and Microsoft Gold-certified partner, is proud to announce its rapid expansion. Throughout the past two years there has been a growth in its clients` maturity and a need for expert services was required.

Fulcrum identified this need and acknowledged this by means of providing clients with consultation expertise, and by expanding it is sure to provide the necessary qualified expertise to comply with this ever-rising expectation. The company has realised that clients no longer want just a project management solution; they want a `comprehensive solution`, consisting of enterprise project management, portfolio resource management, enterprise portfolio management and business process automation.

Because of the above needs identified, it has decided to grow its EPM team, by means of recruiting the following personnel:

Bernardine Fourie joined Fulcrum as an EPM consultant in November 2005. Fourie has a diploma in project management from Damelin and is very experienced in the field of mentoring and training of project managers. She has been outsourced to a number of big organisations on behalf of a project management organisation to assist their project managers and improve the maturity of their project management discipline. She also has experience and prior knowledge of Microsoft`s EPM suite of products and her skills are invaluable to enhance the current team.

Andre Venter joined the Fulcrum training team on 1 January. He is an experienced trainer with an extensive technical background, holds MCSE 2000, MCSA 200 and MCSE NT4 qualifications and has been in the training field for the past 10 years. He has been training MCSE and MS Office products for most of this period at a number of companies.

Malcolm Meintjes and Chrissy Baloyi joined Fulcrum on 1 January as project manager and FBS`s internal IT support person. Meintjes has a diploma in applied project management from Unisa as well as a diploma in computer programming. He has extended experience in VB6 and .Net programming and three years ago decided to move into project management. Meintjes has been managing software development projects and is ideally suited to join the team to manage our project delivery.

Baloyi has an MCSE and started on a national diploma in IT at Boston City Campus. Baloyi has been working in the IT support field for a number of years and we are excited about her joining Nico and thus enabling us to much better support ourselves and our customers.

Dennin Smith will join the Fulcrum training team on 1 February. He originally obtained a higher diploma in education from the Johannesburg College of Education. After being a teacher for a number of years, he went overseas and worked as a supply teacher in the London area. During this period he was presented with an opportunity to become involved in the course design for Lotus Notes users. Since then he has qualified himself and has been training MS Project and project management for the past three years. He is a SAQA NQF level 5 qualified assessor and mentor and has both MCP and MOUS certifications.

Eleanor Nel will join the Fulcrum team as senior EPM consultant on 1 February. She has a certificate from RAU in IT project management, a certificate in project management from Damelin as well as MOUS in IT project management. Nel has more than three years` experience in project management and has been involved in deploying EPM within one of the divisions of Absa. With Nel`s years of experience in the project management environment, she will be able to add a tremendous amount of value to our customers.

As Microsoft`s preferred EPM supplier, the company has deployed over 37 successful Microsoft Office Project EPM solutions since 1998.

In addition, Fulcrum is a certified K2.Net Workflow partner, with the skills and experience to integrate enterprise project management and workflow solutions.
