Netgear Australia revamps partner programme

Netgear has ditched rebates in favour of upfront discounts in a revamp of its umbrella ProSafe partner programme, reports CRN Australia.

Surprisingly, the traditionally SMB-focused vendor has accommodated enterprise resellers in the updated programme, which are showing interest in Netgear's storage, security and switching products.

ProSafe partners will receive discounts on layer two and layer three switching of 10% to 15%, although the exact figures have not been finalised, said Ryan Parker, MD of Netgear Australia and New Zealand.

Vanguard achieves preferred status

Melbourne-based integrator, Vanguard Integration, has become the first organisation to achieve preferred service delivery partner status with business infrastructure software provider, Software AG, writes ARN.

Software AG A/NZ vice-president, Stuart Rees, said the agreement expands its own service delivery capability.

“There was a crossover; we have a number of senior architects and Vanguard has business analysts and project managers, and linking the two skill sets of the organisations gives us a much fuller service delivery capability,” he said.

Juniper enhances J-Partner Programme

To ensure its growing partner community has the necessary skills-sets to take its solutions to market, high-performance networking vendor, Juniper Networks, has enhanced its J-Partner Programme by adding three new specialisation areas to the programme, states IT Business Canada.

The enhancements to its partner programme came into effect last month, said John Dathan, enterprise sales director for Juniper Networks in Canada.

As the company continues to expand its product portfolio, Dathan says the J-Partner Programme needed to be re-evaluated and enhanced to better suit the needs of the company's channel partners.
