Outsourcing company Nebula has signed an additional three-year deal to manage the Clicks Group's telecommunication environment, for an undisclosed amount.

The outsourcing contract will see Nebula manage Clicks' telecommunications environment, including voice, data and mobile communications, across the entire group, including its stores, operations and vendors.

The Clicks Group is a health and beauty-focused retail and supply group, which has been listed on the JSE since 1996. It has more than 575 stores across southern Africa through brands such as Clicks, Musica and The Body Shop.

Nebula, which provides outsourced enterprise telecommunication management services, has partnered with the retail group for the past six years, it says. Its initial management service only covered fixed telephony, but grew to include mobile, as well as wide area and local area networking.

Clicks Group's head of IT, Jacques de Kock, says Nebula's outsourcing model is flexible, which fits the group's environment. He explains it guarantees on-going, optimal cost management and service delivery.

The group aims to open between 20 and 30 new stores, as well as between 30 and 40 dispensaries, in the second half of its financial year, which ends this month, according to its latest results presentation.

Nebula will provide on-site resources, as well as remote and backup support through its Shared Support Services division. De Kock says the deal will save the company money and make sure it has the capacity to grow its business.

Nebula CEO Daniel Nel says the contract will also enhance innovation.
