Highbury Solutions hosting digital transformation events, helping customers start their automation journey

Talking to customers across many industries and sectors, it is evident that the responsibility of digital transformation and automation weighs heavily on key decision-makers. It is a big conversation with many tentacles. So how would one approach this topic in a logical, practical and responsible manner?

First, let's think about the content life cycle....

When content is moving, it is either outgoing - created by the organisation as a statement, letter or report; or it is incoming - an application form, letter, claim form, remittance, and so forth.

Thereafter, there's work management, where content is used in a business process, a team is collaborating on a project, a customer service representative is answering a question, a researcher is gathering information, or a field worker utilises a mobile application.

Analytics is applied to monitor systems and performance, for data mining or high-powered search. Without analytics you will not know whether you've achieved your automation goals.

Cognitive augments the traditional human-computer relationship by assisting workers with intelligent advice, suggesting a resolution from a list of common fixes, or pro-actively adapting a fix to include information that is not in plain sight.

And throughout, there are decision management and governance requirements. Every document must have a certified chain of custody, from beginning to end. Content must be secure, documents must be retained according to regulations, and certain types of sensitive information protected.

Finally, content must be stored in a secure location, untouched by anyone, to form a trusted data source where companies can show regulators that they have pure unadulterated data.

All along this cycle, Highbury Solutions works with customers to develop a mature content and automation strategy, including:

* Consulting.
* Business requirement analysis.
* Solution architecture.
* Best of breed technology offerings.
* Project management.
* Integration.
* Development.
* Implementation.
* Post-implementation support.
* Flexible support offerings from telephone assistance to on-site resources.
* Comprehensive service level agreements.

To help customers understand and formalise a practical approach to automation, Highbury Solutions will be hosting two digital business automation events during the first week of March. These events will be hosted in partnership with IBM.

The key note speaker, Michael Lim, is a recognised digital automation practitioner with over 18+ years in advising and driving process improvement and automation programs for fortune 100 customers.

As a business unit executive in IBM Cloud, Michael leads the Ecosystem GTM strategy for IBM's Automation software offerings.

He ensures that the IBM offerings provide the correct digital innovation capabilities, enabling customers to find disruptive approaches to improve their revenue per employee with software and design thinking techniques.

He continues to be an advisor for several IBM customers that have embraced and implemented automation programs which improve their ability to react to the changing market.

The event details are as follows:

7th March 2018, IBM Century City, Western Cape.
9th March 2018, IBM Client Centre, Sandton, Gauteng.
