The Mainframe Access and Security survey being conducted in partnership with Micro Focus has gone live on ITWeb. The aim of the survey is to examine the overall state of enterprise level mainframe security in South Africa.

Kevin Kemp, business development manager: Application Modernisation at Micro Focus South Africa, says, “We expect to get some good insight into which criteria would be priorities for organisations embarking on a modernisation journey. This drives the investment decisions both operationally and commercially.”

The survey seeks to uncover which regulatory compliance requirements are currently impacting organisations and how worried businesses are about mainframe security.

It looks into whether there’s centralised management of distributed mainframe access systems and applications, and asks which authentication methods are required to access the mainframe. Respondents are also asked about their concerns around distributed management of terminal-based desktop applications.

We hope you’ll be able set aside a few minutes of your time to participate in the survey, and stand a chance to win a Takealot voucher to the value of R3 500

The detailed results of the survey, and the prize winner, will be published on ITWeb.
