GDPR applies to all countries worldwide that process personal data of EU residents.

1st Global Data protection law:

* Organisations must demonstrate that they are holding data only for as long as absolutely necessary as well as respond to a "right to be forgotten".

Delete on request capability:

* Extended liability beyond your organisation to include all service providers that are holding or processing your data.

Identify and operate a 72-hour breach notification:

* Shift to privacy by design; Erase functionality built into future software design.

Future need to conduct a Privacy Impact assessment (PIA) before any project using any form of personal data.
