RDB Consulting achieves ISO 20000 certification
Database outsourcing consulting specialist RDB Consulting has been accredited with the prestigious ISO/IEC 20 000 IT service management certification, an acknowledgement of its outstanding commitment to service excellence, standards and global best practices.
The scope of RDB's audit report comprised of the provision of outsourcing management solutions regarding databases, Operating Systems and monitoring services.
Part of RDB's future strategy is to broaden its footprint into the European market which it aims to achieve through its recent partnership with Serbian-owned software services provider LOGIT.
RDB Consulting has clients in South Africa, Mozambique and Europe and includes the likes of MTN, Murray & Roberts, G4S, Barloworld Logistics, Human Sciences Research Council and more recently Univerexport, a Serbian supermarket chain.
Speaking on the achievement, Jaroslav Cerny, CEO of RDB Consulting, says: "We are extremely pleased that RDB Consulting now boasts full ISO 20000 compliance. This certification is significant since it emphasises that we are committed to providing and delivering world-class database outsourcing services to our customers."
According to Cerny, Professor Dragana Becejski-Vujaklija who is RDB Consulting's internal consultant based in Serbia, played a leading role in the certification.
The certification process included the review of RDB Consulting's control of documents and records, ISMS, resource management, responsibility and authority, managing outsourced processes, availability and capacity management, information security, service level management, service reporting and continuity, budgeting and accounting, business relationship management, change and release management and incident, request and problem management.
"The company's objectives are aimed at continual improvement and exceeding customer expectations, therefore improving the customer experience," concludes Cerny.
ISO 20000 is an international standard that describes the requirements for an information technology service management system. The standard was developed to mirror the best practices described within the IT Infrastructure Library framework.
