Workgroups requiring a rapid, high volume laser printer at an affordable cost need look no further than the Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 8000 / LaserJet 8100 series of machines, available now from Tarsus Technologies.

"This range of machines comprises three models; the HP8100; 8100N and the 8100DN," says Traci Maynard, product manager for HP peripherals at Tarsus Technologies. According to her, the HP 8100 printer represents the best in high volume workgroup printing at the most competitive pricing.

The base model HP 8100 is equipped with an expandable 16MB (up to 208MB) of memory. The network ready 8100N additionally features a built in HP 600N JetDirect print server; the range topping 8100DN adds an auto duplex unit (optional on the other machines).

Maynard adds that there is an extensive selection of options available with these printers: "Users can choose from a wide variety of paper handling accessories to customize the printing solution to a specific environment," she says.

For example, the LJ8100 can be configured for high volume, frequent retrieval environments - with an input capacity of 3100 and output that is sorted into 7 trays (each tray has a 125 page capacity.) Alternatively, this accessory can provide for an easy selection of multiple media types and sorting/addressing capabilities for the diverse needs of different departments. There is also an option for multiple media tray input to easily address any document need: from letterhead to recycled to coloured paper.

According to Maynard, the 8000 series features all the functionality of the 8100 range; but prints at a maximum rate of 24 pages per minute.

Adding to the attraction of these machines, Tarsus Technologies is giving away an HP 10B Business Calculator to the end user with every unit ordered, for the duration of an incentive on both families set to commence early March (only valid while promotional stocks last).

"The HP LaserJet 8100 series offer users unrivalled performance, quality and reliability with revolutionary new HP technology. As a complete high volume network solution, these machines are in a class of their own," concludes Maynard.
