At LawPrint’s Midrand base, it is clear that substantial investment has been made over the years in securing world-class pre-press, printing and finishing systems that are designed to withstand the requirements of a professional, forward-thinking printing company.

Managed and run by a team of experts who are passionate about print, it is a business that has persisted and flourished even in tough economic times, thanks to a magic combination of top-quality print and customer service.

And now, the company’s most recent acquisition, a spanking new HP Indigo 12000 commercial digital press, with unlimited versatility to deliver new commercial applications, is set to give the team a real game-changing advantage!

LawPrint’s journey into digital print commenced in 2006, with the purchase of two HP 5000 press, mainly utilised to handle short-run print jobs when required.

Over time, LawPrint has extended its digital offering by additional digital systems along the way. "We have certainly seen the benefit in utilising digital print as part of our overall offering, and the new HP Indigo investment is going to unlock previously unexplored opportunities," comments director Cliff Makura.

Unmatched versatility

Built on the best-selling and proven B2 sheet-fed HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press, the 12000 series, installed at the beginning of July, is the perfect fit for LawPrint’s business model, firstly offering a solution for any commercial application on virtually any substrate, including coated, uncoated, coloured and dark papers, paperboard, and even metallised media, as well as innovative products such as print canvas wall art, high-impact posters, folders, oversized books, folding cartons and speciality packaging and display products.

"We have spent several months investigating the real prospects for growth in digital print, visiting global events, as well as HP Indigo’s innovation centre in Europe, and we’re excited about the possibilities in print that have been presented to us," remarks LawPrint general manager Colin Mortimer. "Kemtek has offered sound advice on what can be commercially achieved from the outset, as well as the huge capabilities that we can unleash with the HP Indigo 12000, from unique inks to unlimited HP SmartStream Mosaic and Collage variable design technology," he adds.

All-round quality solution

Enabled by HP Indigo’s liquid ElectroInk technology, which has the widest digital colour gamut (reaching up to 97% of Pantone colours), plus unique digital offset process, the press can deliver smooth and sharp prints.

"With high print quality, just-in-time production, and ability to engage customers by customisation and personalisation with unique variable data printing capabilities, I’m confident we’re going to set the pace from the get go!" mentions Makura. Whether we’re providing printing, die cutting, saddle stitching, folding, perfect binding and thread sewing, we believe that there is a certain way of doing things – that’s the right way," he adds. "Our services and technology are at the cutting edge of print, and with the HP Indigo 12000 digital press, we can now offer the most creative print solution on almost any substrate."
