Call for papers for ITWeb's Business Process Management and Automation 2019 now open

Johannesburg, 31 Jan 2019

Organisations across the board are using business process management (BPM) and business process automation (BPA) to make work more efficient, reduce redundancy and lower operating costs.

"All businesses can benefit from better business process management, and from automation," says Angela Mace, CRM and events director at ITWeb. "While BPM has been around for decades and its value to businesses has been proven, the discipline and its practitioners find themselves at the centre of digital transformation and process automation initiatives."

She says ITWeb recognises the importance of both managing and automating business processes and has opened the call for papers, for ITWeb Business Process Management & Automation Summit 2019, to be held at The Forum, in Bryanston, on 9 April.

"We have developed a comprehensive agenda that will cover everything from where BPM fits in to the business strategy, what should be automated, and what should not, as well as the real value of automation, the associated risks, as well as lessons learnt and challenges overcome."

ITWeb Business Process Management & Automation Summit 2019

The BPM & Automation 2019 summit is taking place on the 9th April 2019 at The Forum in Bryanston, and will not only expose delegates to the latest trends and thought leadership in these areas, it will give them a chance to network with peers and industry experts. If you have the expertise to engage and connect with BPM, BPA and RPA professionals, submit your papers today. For more information about the submission process click here.

Remember, with automation technologies, the goal is to make business processes more effective and efficient. "But, there needs to be a solid foundation first. Trying to apply automation over poorly designed business processes is doomed to fail; in fact, it will simply drive inefficiencies elsewhere. For automation to work, it is an essential requirement to have concrete instructions and a solid BPM foundation in place," she explains.

The event will cover a wide range of topics, including the role of BPM in the age of digitisation; automation strategy and implementation; and the benefits of robotics process automation (RPA).

It will also explore how BPM and automation are creating a competitive edge for organisations, says Mace, "and with this in mind, we are looking for speakers who are passionate about BPM and automation, and want to share their expertise with the audience."

Essential speaker requirements include superb presentation skills; expertise in BPM, automation and related fields; excellent knowledge; relevant case studies regarding the latest BPM and automation developments; and the ability to captivate an audience and connect on their level of expertise.
