Tracer Mobile Workforce, a leader in providing mobile and workflow solutions, announced its partnership with TomTom Telematics today. This partnership will tap into the industry's richest set of integrated solutions, which means you do not have to transform the way you work - just improve it.

"I have been looking for a solution that I can integrate with and am thrilled to have found TomTom Telematics," commented Cobus van Graan, CEO, Tracer Mobile Workforce. "The advantages of combining telematics, the TomTom driver terminals and Tracer MW's workflow solutions to companies and mobile workers are significant. Technicians can instantly receive workflow orders, search for inventory, communicate via voice, e-mail and text, and even navigate with turn-by-turn directions."

With the TomTom PRO series driver terminals, companies are enabled to dispatch work orders from the Tracer integration directly to their drivers or technicians. This enables them to accept and navigate to the job site without breaking any laws or having to stop their vehicles. The TomTom Telematics solution is a real workhorse, combining telematics and a driver terminal tablet with Internet connection. Mobile workers can navigate and use the same devices for doing all their work. With Tracer MW workflow capabilities, the mobile workers have all tasks, job cards, stock orders, etc, in their hands, with the added advantage of being able to take photos, attach them to the job cards and get them signed off. The customer can receive the job card copy straight after the work has been done and all the information is available in live reports in the office.

TomTom Telematics WEBFLEET management helps fleet operators reduce their carbon footprint by improving gas mileage, streamlining job dispatch/scheduling, reducing driving habits that result in wasted fuel, and reducing unnecessary mileage.

"We currently stand on the verge of an exciting new era for the fleet management industry, with ever increasing possibilities for the creation of new industry solutions that harness the power of connected vehicles," explains Thomas Schmidt, Managing Director of TomTom Telematics. "Together with our partners, we want to create new apps and integrations that will offer innovative benefits to customers in any industry, operating any type of vehicle fleet. Whether focused on driver behaviour, safety, efficiency, productivity or customer service, these new technologies will help to revolutionise business processes through greater levels of automation and insight, and ultimately bring the technology closer to the driver."

With the Tracer solution integrated into TomTom Telematics, operators can also increase customer satisfaction by providing more accurate arrival time estimates for customers while increasing technician productivity and efficiency.
