project director for enabling competencies, SAICA

Msizi is the Project Director for Enabling Competencies at SAICA, responsible for advocacy and thought leadership around the business, decision-making, relational and digital acumens which aligns with his passion for people development and progressive change. He has worked as a facilitator, academic, auditor and consultant in both the private and public sectors. Msizi is a recipient of the 2017 Mandela Washington Fellowship by the U.S. Department of State (a fellowship programme for young African leaders), and followed the leadership in public management track. He has served as an audit committee member and chairperson providing oversight on reporting, performance and compliance matters. He was a key member of the University of Zululand capacity building project which resulted in the accreditation of the university accounting offering by SAICA. While at the university, Msizi was part of the group of academics that worked on the implementation framework for the SAICA CA2025 competency framework. He has been involved in a number of improvement (and change management) projects and initiatives both at the university and at the AGSA where he worked as an audit, training and technical learning manager.
