Group head of cyber security, Coca-Cola Beverages Africa

Ritasha has close to 21 years of experience in leading both strategic and tactical Group wide initiatives pertaining to information / cyber security, privacy, IT governance, IT resilience; Risk and Compliance; Data management, analytics & governance across a multitude of industries, from Banking, to Telecommunications, Entertainment & Leisure, Petro-chemicals, Manufacturing, Retail & Wholesale, Military, Manufacturing, and the Oil & Gas industries. She has presented on the topics of Information Security, Cyber and Privacy as well as ran panel discussions at over 40 conferences, both locally and internationally and was the first female in South Africa to be awarded her CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional) certification in South Africa. Since 2009 (15 years), Ritasha has held leadership positions through a variety of functions, namely, Compliance, IT, Risk, Group Technology, Operations and the like. She has been nominated by company Exco’s to attend leadership training and courses to further bolster her career and expand her horizons. Through each of her career moves, she has successfully demonstrated these leadership skills and has been awarded accordingly for these. Ritasha has played various strategic roles throughout her career at both a local and international level and she has covered a wide spectrum of IT disciplines as is noted across her career history. She is currently the Group Head of Cyber Security for the CCBA Group. She also was the Acting CIO of the Tiger Brands Group, leading the IT division for an interim period. Ritasha has been recognised as 1 of the top 100 influential women in ICT by Brainstorm and IT Web. She was also recognised by MTN as one of the women transformation movers in July 2023. In all the roles which she has played, she sat on the Risk, Audit and Board committees, providing assurance and comfort that the portfolios under her control were well managed and that the visibility of those portfolios were transparent and well-co-ordinated. She has also managed both local and international vendors across multiple cyber security platforms and IT service providers and has assisted in the establishment of a new vendor management capability (RMB).
