I am a graduate from Essex University, Colchester, UK - BEng Electronic Systems Engineering, July 1992. Other qualifications includes a BTEC HND in Electronic Systems Engineering, Essex Institute (now Anglia University); BTEC ND Electronic Communications Engineering – London College, 1988; Senior Executive Leadership Programme, GIBS, 2001, International Executive Development Programme (IEDP), WITS Business School & London School of Business, 2016. I have held positions at including but not limited to: Cell C; Department of Communications; SMMT Pty Ltd Online; SAAB-Grintek Telecommunications; CSIR (Satellite Applications Centre); South African Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (SATRA) – later merged with the Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) to establish Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) (2001 -2003) and Transnet. Currently I am CIO at National Lotteries Commission and my projects include establishing the first ever MPLS (fibre based) WAN for the Commission – interconnecting all Provincial Offices; establishing and implementing of an Oracle ERP Fusion Platform as well as an overall technology refresh programme.
