BITanium receives accolade as Top IBM Software Business Partner for 2015

Johannesburg, 15 Mar 2016

BITanium was awarded Top IBM Software Business Partner for 2015 at the recently held IBM Software Business Partner Kick-off event. The event was hosted at the Hilton Hotel in Sandton on the 9th March and brought together the IBM Software Partner eco-system with the IBM Executive team of South Africa and the MEA region.

This award recognises BITanium, a Premier IBM Business Partner, as the overall, best performing partner for 2015 with the highest revenue contribution across the partner community.

BITanium has grown from a small team of BI specialists into a recognised, leading brand that offers end-to-end solutions ranging from traditional BI, predictive analytics through to serious Data Warehouse solutions. BITanium boasts some of the country's leading data experts and strongest service delivery capabilities. It is the largest deployer of IBM's Netezza Pure Data Warehouse appliances and the IBM experts in this field.

"Our ethos of "Customer-first" has afforded BITanium the opportunity to build strong, lasting and trusting partner-relationships with our customers. This stands centre to our success - this is therefore as much our customers' award as it is ours. In addition, we will continue to invest in our people in order to grow BITanium into the new era of Cloud and Cognitive Analytics. We thank IBM for their support and recognition of our commitment to the brand," comments Chris O'Connell, Managing Director of BITanium.

During the kick-off event the IBM leadership shared their vision for the year ahead, covering the core components of their strategies around cloud, the impact of mobility, and the importance of analytics.

The event ended on a high-note with guest speaker, Gavin Sharples, reminding everyone, in a very comical and entertaining way, just how important, change, innovation and creativity are if one is to stay ahead of the game in today's highly competitive, global market.

"We are proud to be associated with BITanium and look forward to working shoulder to shoulder with the team to new levels of success ", says Annalise Olivier, IBM Business Development Manager at Axizworkgroup.
