Africa Tech Week recognises the achievements of organisations and individuals that are using technology to deliver real results and return on investment for businesses in Africa.
The awards shine a spotlight on those who are creating and using digital platforms to create more profitable and connected businesses across Africa.
BUI was nominated as a finalist for the Best Digital Company Award category, which is no easy feat and comes with lots of hard work in the background.
BUI has been involved in deploying some of the largest digital projects in the country and has enabled its customers and users to create more secure, profitable and connected businesses for the past 20 years.
"We are excited to be a part of the Africa Tech Week Awards, and this coincides with the launch of Microsoft's local data centres in Johannesburg and Cape Town on 6 March 2019... we feel gears have been shifted and digital transformation in Africa is definitely going places," says Ryan Roseveare, MD of BUI.
The winning companies and individuals are those who have demonstrated innovation and development through the use of technology. Through harnessing digital disruption in a considered and strategic manner, these organisations are creating solutions that will ensure Africa isn't left behind in the fourth industrial revolution.
"The main focus of Africa Tech Week is educating business people, entrepreneurs and governments operating in Africa to ensure we can overcome the unique challenges faced on the continent. Using technology to take advantage of the opportunities available in the modern world, we can ensure we survive and thrive in the fourth industrial revolution," says Ralf Fletcher, CEO of Africa Tech Week.
